Without realizing it, slouching, pushing the head too far forward, or tensing the shoulders can strain the muscles and spine. Over time, these habits can lead to back pain, a stiff neck and aching shoulders.<\/p>\n<p>To maintain good posture, sit with your back resting against the chair and your feet flat on the floor. Position your knees roughly level with your hips. Place your computer screen at eye level about an arm&#8217;s length away, so you do not need to look down or up.<\/p>\n<p>Even good body positioning still needs to be broken up with movement. Try to stand up and walk briefly every 30 to 60 minutes, then do some light stretches for your neck, shoulders and back.
